Procedures to obtain single and double entry tourist visas simplified

The Belarusian Foreign Ministry is introducing changes and amendments to visa issuance instruction for foreign citizens and stateless persons, aiming to simplify the procedure for receiving single and double entry tourist visas. In particular, it will no longer be necessary to present an original tourist voucher to apply for your visa. Rather, applicants will need to show a letter from a Belarusian tourist Company on headed notepaper, a letter from a Belarusian spa or recuperative institution or from a Belarusian citizen alongside a copy of their license to provide agro and ecotourism services Individual cases will also be viewed by consular officials.

A copy of the document explaining the reason for visa issue can be considered as an appropriate document for visa application for citizens from the EU, the USA, Canada, Japan and some other countries.

A double entry visa will be issued if necessary (for instance, if they intend to visit a neighboring state during their trip and then return via Belarus or if they are offered a special tour programme).
